Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series

To ensure a physically safe environment for everyone going through RACE, the school set out to achieve the national standard for organisational safety or OHSAS in 2006 and we obtained the award in April 2006. Hence, we are OHSAS certified in the provision of Rock Wall Climbing, Abseiling, Zipline and Challenge Ropes Course activities. OHSAS 1800:1999 refers to Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series with specifications for implementing a Safety Management System. Published in 1999, it is a consolidation of best practices from all over the world in ensuring safety and a tool to enhance the safety management of an organization. OHSAS was prepared by British Standard Institute and developed with various other organizations from all over the world. It was adopted by Spring Singapore as the Singapore Standard.
